Where did your name come from?

I’ve no idea what the history of my name is. I think it’s from the bible, like many name, but an anglicised version of it. I think it means a part of the foot in a Middle Eastern language. My dad chose my name and my mum always insisted on calling me a different version of that name. It stuck. Now, I have to be carefully on official forms to put my ‘real’ legal name, and not the one that everyone calls me. It used to be quite rare name – in my secondary school, there were only two of us out of about 1200 boys. However, these days it seems quite popular.
