A wonderful, heart warming tale, of a young boy with a facial dis-figuration and his journey from being home schooled to the wild lands of a real school in America. The story is wonderfully told from different character’s perspectives for each chapter, so that you really get to know the characters, and also see different scenarios from different character’s points of view. This story has funny moments, heart warming moments, tragic moments, and moments of hate and rage – the vast range of emotions displayed by different characters at different moments make great teaching and learning points. But generally the stories main message is that there is wonder in everyone, no matter what they look like. Brilliant!
